Blakeley’s book contains nearly 400 images. This book is a handmade piece of art using traditional Chinese printing and binding techniques. The method involves printing single sheets of paper on one side only, then folding them in half with the images on the outside. These sheets are collated, sandwiched between boards covered in high-quality, natural-finish bookcloth, and hand-stitched on the cut edge of the folded sheets. This method was first used during the Ming Dynasty period of 1368-1644.
